Marietta students have played a significant role in the development of an immersive theater experience at Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw. Fifth-graders from the Marietta Center for Advanced Academics contributed to shaping an outdoor theater production that will debut during Art Blooms. The event, inspired by “Through the Looking-Glass,” allows families to follow performers through the gardens and enjoy multiple showtimes along with festival activities.

Cobb County Crash Claims Life of 52-Year-Old Marietta Resident

A tragic incident occurred when a 52-year-old Marietta man died after his vehicle left Powers Ferry Road near Terrell Mill, crossed multiple lanes, mounted the sidewalk, and struck a tree. He was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his wounds. Cobb County police are investigating the crash and urge anyone with information to contact their traffic enforcement unit.
