Travel influencer and former cruise ship worker Cass Stefanie shared some insights into the culture aboard these vessels. She mentioned that the term “banana” is used when someone is getting into trouble, such as walking down the main corridor with AirPods in.

Cass explained, “If you’re doing something like walking down the I-95 with your AirPods in, we’ll stop you and be like, ‘listen, don’t let anyone see you because you’re going to get a banana.’”
